ID help with spiral glitter bowl
« on: October 28, 2015, 06:02:59 PM »
I have this fan bowl, it measures around 8cm tall and 14cm in diameter
I'm not sure on the origin but it has quite a few air bubbles.
Its very pretty with the glitter spiral though
Any help would be very nice, thanks in advance!

Made by or for Salviati on Murano, the copper coloured stuff is called aventurine, date is likely to be around 1870 give or take a few years (as far as I can tell).

I think you are spot on there as per usual.
It's hard to think this little glass bowl is around 150 years old when it can fit directly into anyones home today.
