Fire splash paperweight - Caithness?
« on: November 12, 2015, 09:11:53 AM »
I bought this unmarked paperweight thinking it may be Caithness but I can't find it on www.scotlandsglass.co.uk It is 3 1/4ins wide, 2 3/4ins high and weighs 730g. Any thoughts on ID would be appreciated thanks.

Hi.  I am sure it is Caithness - it is one of Helen MacDonald's Biblical series - but I cannot remember the name!

Thanks Alan. I have looked through the Scotland's Glass section for her work. I can see the similarity to that design series. It's not there but I'm aware not everything is.
Thanks again

...and have found a boxed one on Ebay. Should have guessed really - it's called Ring of Fire. According to the listing, a 1996 edition of 75 with a $575 retail price. It's insert describes it as "Inspired by the biblical story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego."
