Heavy and unique seventies vase?
« on: November 13, 2015, 04:24:15 PM »
This was hidden at the thrift shop today.  Anyone know origin? Very pleased with my find as usual But hubby say chinese.  But to him everything is chinese after my first three snowflakes. IT weighs 1.9 kg and is 25.5 cm high. Top is 9.5 cm diameter.

 :)
With a fully polished round pontil mark in combination with age-related wear, it is unlikely to be Chinese.
It is only in the last year or so that fully polished round pontil marks have been seen coming from there.
But I can't help with what it actually is, sorry.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Its a very Nice piece,  looked like it was hidden in the shop. Behind Christmas decor.  I really hope someone knows it. Will look immensly beautiful in the sun with those colored swirls.

Thank you all! Its a bit bigger than the one in the digital museum - but looks like the one from the other post. :) Yay! Another origin solved. Really love it.
