What is this glass item please ?? maker ?

Perhaps a science or chemist instrument ,hand blown and has two open funnels at the top
polished pontil to the base and lots of age related wear to base .measures 15.5cm high by 8.5cm wide weighs aprox 350g.
any ideas

Decidedly a bit of lab glass.
Rubber or cork bungs with holes in to take tubes, would have been put in the funnel bits; a gas could be introduced into a liquid in the bottom of the vessel through one funnel, and the gas resulting from any reaction taking place in the liquid and the introduced gas would be collected from the other funnel.
