Topic: GLASS PLATTER I.D. required. Scandinavian?

I'm having a problem putting a maker's name to this large platter which seemed to us  to be a Scandinavian design.  We thought it may be Arabia but had no luck and widened our search to no avail!  What did seem to be an easy search has become very difficult to pin down. No markings I can see. Approx 12.5" dia / 315mm.  Any ideas would be welcome! Many thanks, Barry.   P.S. Happy New Year!

Gläsi Hergiswill I think - but you might want to double check that.

Hi Ivo, thanks for your suggestion. I've had a quick Google on Gläsi Hergiswil and so far have only come across Cows and Stars. I've found nothing resembling the "Two Birds in a Tree" design but will continue looking through Gläsi Hergiswil as it could be lurking in there somewhere! Kosta Boda had several ranges of cast glass plates and platters with decorative bases through the 1980s - another avenue to explore, perhaps.

Many thanks Pinkspoons I will give this a try, although I think I have exhausted KB, Iittala, Arabia etc.  I haven't yet tried Reijmyre which is a thought! I will keep you posted! Many thanks, Barry

Hi Nick, thank you for your reply.

I am already aware of both listings you have referred to, however the first seller says:  "We have come across this design several times and while I am sure that it is Arabia or Iittala or someone similar I have yet to identify it."  And the 2nd seller also cannot give a positive identification, maybe having seen the other seller's listing.  Without a label or an i.d. mark (signature) it's conjecture.  I was hoping to be able to find a site (or perhaps a maker's catalogue) which positively identifies this piece.

Thanks Flying Free, this is another avenue I will follow up, although a quick search I have made hasn't thrown up anything similar.

I will keep looking!  Someone, somewhere may put the platter on eBay with a label!!!

Gläsi Hergiswill I think - but you might want to double check that.

I don't think, it's Glasi Hergiswil (no umlaut, btw): I have never seen this design (which certainly is no proof - but I have seen loads of Glasi items over the years). More important: the "structure" of the glass (better shown on the ebay auction mentioned above) doesn't look like Glasi.
