This glass Vase is 31cm high. It has no identifying marks on it. My chum was  told it was Polish and I thought it japanese and anow we think it may be Orient and Flume. It is layered .

I believe it is handblown. the pontil polished though scratched with age and the rim rounded.

I have a feeling but I will see what else comes up. It is very close to some of their stuff.

I was going to suggest more Orient and less Flume - but John has beaten me to it. I have one somewhere, perhaps not as decorative as yours but definitely of a kind. They are unusual with their painted enamel decoration encased in heavy walls. They seems to be fairly common in "antiques" and collectables shops and occasionally on ebay.

I agree with Chinese. It's pretty but that base finish is typical for a start; you can see the grinding marks and the bottom edge is much rougher than would be expected from top quality work.

I seem to recall someone posted something similar a while ago and again we thought Chinese then. I did find some very similar examples on alibaba.com when I searched a while back...

This Orient & Flume vase was beautifully made, it reeked of high quality craftsmanship and as a result very tactile (but maybe that was because I am such a hopeless glassie..). Impeccably finished and fully signed too.
