Glass or Mustard
« on: February 23, 2016, 09:50:59 PM »
Hi there,

I'm looking to identify a foil label on an Art Deco mustard pot.  The sticker is there, but illegible.  I don't know if it's a glass, mustard, or importer's label.  There is no mark anywhere else on the piece.  I've checked a few web sites and forums with no luck.  I don't find anything close to what I have.

Any ideas?

Scott

Hi and welcome to the GMB.

Ink well, perhaps? Scratch that - I've just noticed the spoon recess in the lid... Nice piece: I imagine the label remnant points to a US glass factory, so it's over to the real experts now!

Thanks for that, David!  American isn't something I've specified.  Czech, Italian, Irish, and a thousand others.  Not American.  I'll give it a look.
