Beautiful or beastly pink thingie
« on: March 27, 2016, 08:31:37 AM »
Happy easter.

I am requesting your opinion on the candle holder in the picture. It has a diameter of 10 " (240 mm to be exact) and it is a dish with 12 drawn out points and a candle cup in the middle.

As circular was not sufficient for the glass maker, he managed to fold one section upward - presumably to allow it to stand closer to the wall.

The glass is a light pink and opal - the opal sections are thicker than the inbetween pinks. The underside is an added pink disc, no pontil marks or anythying.

Now I'm drawn between priceless Murano with a big double name, and a garish American maker who has gone out of business due to bad taste.

Can anyone point at it and say "oooooh" or "yeccch", please.

Beastly it is, then. Thank you Christine for knowing where to look.

I just made the mistake of looking at Fostoria Heirloom in Google image - now I won't sleep all week.
