Dot Moran- help please with information
« on: March 27, 2016, 12:41:08 PM »
I purchased a blue glass bowl a number of years ago when it was exhibited as part of a competition for glass makers and engravers at the Caithness outlet store which no longer exists outside of Stirling.
It is beautifully engraved both inside and out with plants, insects and is meant to resemble looking into a pool from above.
It is signed Dot Moran 1998 "ripples"

I have never seen another piece by her nor can i seem to find anything online about her or her work.

Can anyone help with any information about her?
Many thanksuemapm

Hi and welcome to the board. Could you please add some images of your bowl as this might help us pin it down.  A straight on side view, a view looking into it from above, a close up of the signature and detail shots of the engraving will all help. Use a plain white background (sheet of paper or card is fine), and shrink your pics to around 700 pixels along the longest edge, save for web and they should fit our file size limits. If you need help with image posting please just shout and I, or someone else, will come help you if you can't find the answer in our Images Help topic: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6522.0.html
