Blue control bubble vase help please.

Any thoughts on this one, a lot of base wear but heavy, 2.7 kg.

32 cm in diameter and 16 cm in height.

regards Chris.

It looks like Webb's 'Flair' range to me, too. I posted one in a similar colour but different shape a few years ago here. You'll see that mine has a prominent maker's mark that is acid etched.

Other examples can be found in that thread and by searching on the board.

No wonder I could not find it searching Scandinavian glass. It now has pride of place on my favourite window sill (until something else comes along), thanks all.

Found today  (I'm not going to mention the price) another pair of Alexadrite Flair's?. The  shape look right to signed one's online  in a different colour but the base is polished flat.

6 inches and 6 3/4 inches in diameter.

They go from purple in daylight to blue under a standard energy saving bulb.

Not signed.

I don't think those are Webb Flair for two reasons: no crystal casing and that they are neodymium glass. I might go for Czech

Ok thanks for that Christine, I still have an awful lot to learn, they all copied each other that's the problem.

Here's my ruby one   :-[ ::) ;D   that's virtually the same weight as yours, Chris at 2.77kg. The bubbles are confined to the ruby core.
