What is this Glass Thing called?
« on: April 28, 2016, 02:09:57 AM »
Hi!  I just discovered this great board and am so excited to read through the posts and learn more about glass.  Since I am here I thought I would post a few questions in hopes that someone will be able to provide me some insight into my glass items and in the process learn something.
Anyway, I have this tall art glass sculpture that I think is Murano glass.  Can anyone shed any light on what it is other than a cool looking piece of art and where or who made it?  It measures approx 14" high and the base is 4.  The top finial is gold flecked and the body is blue / green swirls with gold flecks in parts.  It is solid on the base but the center area appears hollow.

Thanks in advance for any insight or information you may provide!
