A.H.Williamson design?
« on: May 08, 2016, 03:38:20 PM »
Hello all,
could this be an AHW design for Bagley?

I bought it on ebay as a nibbles bowl, I love the shape.  The photos were a bit blurred and when it arrived the feet look very similar to the "Ripon" bowl.  As far as I'm aware the Ripon bowl was not part of a set or range of glassware.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for any info., gratefully received.

If it's this one http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=608 and http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=609
I've always harboured the suspicion it's Bagley but never been able to prove it. The colour is spot on for frosted Bagley uranium glass

Yes, that's the one.

It exactly matches my Grantham vases in colour,  I've just checked it with the UV light and it glows very strongly, much more so than the vases.

Can you suggest anywhere that I can look that might have more information?

I don't think you'll find any. It's not in the Bagley books. The problem is glass manufacturers made commission orders and stuff for wholesalers and the former are not found in company catalogues and might be hard to identify from order books
