Large floor vase/candy jar
« on: May 08, 2016, 05:38:57 PM »
Can someone confirm whether this is one of Frank Throwers work?
The colour seems right to me but the shape isn't one I've seen before.
It measures 19.5cm tall and has a base diameter of 17cm.
Any comments welcome!

I can see what you mean, the neck looks ok and the shape is similar but there are a couple of things that say definitely not to me. This shape is not recorded (there were three made in one of four colours) and it is too small by quite some margin, the sizes being between 26 and 29cm tall. The green looks a bit too bright as well.

No idea who made it but I think they are contemporary.

John

Judging by this one in TK Maxx today, I would guess yours was made in Poland too.

Yes, I think its just a modern knock off.
Such a shame but these things happen!
Thanks for all your input
