PLEASE identify vases
« on: May 10, 2016, 02:00:17 PM »
Hello, this is my first time joining a forum to ask for help.  If anyone can help me I would be so happy and appreciative. I have 2 vases, very heavy - each weighing about 12 lbs and measuring about 12 inches in height.  They are not marked. Everyone I send a photo to for identification says  they are Lalique. I finally spoke with the deceased owner's mother to ask about them, and all she knew was that her son told her that they were Lalique. So they LOOK like Lalique but they are not signed that I can find. There is a naked young man on the one vase, naked young female on the other. On the body of the vases are miscellaneous other little sprightly naked people and a forest trees scenery.  The wavy ruffled top is very thick.  I need to know what these are (the maker if possible) and the value.  THANK YOU if you can help.

There are a few here https://www.etsy.com/il-en/listing/191073669/crystal-flower-vase-with-naked-woman-and?ref=shop_home_active_3
signed A. Felicio and a piece about him. Seems they are modern  ???
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Hello and welcome to the board.

I can't find any other reference to A Felicio other than the pieces being sold by the ElCid gallery directly or via ebay/etsy etc... that Della links to in her reply above but some of those pieces are clearly signed, whereas yours aren't which is a puzzle, yet yours look to be a match.  The ElCid seller is based in Israel, I wonder if that's a clue?
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
