ID help: Bowl - Triangular form - Blue. ID = Kumiko Nakajima

(1/4) > >>

misha:
Interesting bowl acquired last year.
No doubt of Australian production.
Flame polished pontil mark.

Cryptic K or maybe arrow mark engraved with 02 [assuming 2002]

With regards to the 'arrow' mark, it does not appear to be the same style as per last image of square base vase posted here.... or is it the same maker?

All suggestions or leads on mystery ID appreciated, as always.

brewster:
I don't recognise the signature. I can only remark that your two items were made around 30 years apart, and don't seems to share much styling, so it is probably unhelpful to connect them.

Trevor

brewster:
Let's make that 20 years apart...

Trevor

ahremck:
Kumi (Kumiko Nakajima) I believe.  Some photos of a piece I own.

Ross

misha:
Thanks for the lead on that Ross.

I can see the possibility of what you suggest.
The single letter K is a bit 'shorthand' and cryptic to work out alone. I thought a slight chance an even more cryptic 'arrow'. Point taken Trevor - I didn't really understand of the date range Robert marked his so.  More on that in confirmed ID thread.

Form is very different to your bowl, but that can mean little for some artists.

If Kumico, can we assume Australian production with a 2002 date?

Was late and computer a bit muddle headed when I posted [bit slow, random, script error message prone now in fact] and I omitted sizes.

Diameter: 370mm if regarded as a 'clipped' disc.  If not,
Sides: 300mm 320mm, 350mm
High: 85mm
