Murano paperweight with pontil scar
« on: July 21, 2016, 10:18:41 PM »
Would someone mind suggesting a possible manufacturer of this paperwork? 3" tall, five controlled bubbles forming each flower's central  stamen (or is that a stigma?), strong pontil scar and lots of wear on the base? Murano or no? Many thanks in advance!

Hi.  I don't think it is Murano.  It looks like pieces made in many European countries (Germany, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Alsace etc) in the early 20th century.  Peter von Brackel's first book shows various versions of similar pieces.

Thank you, Alan, for pointing me in (roughly) the right direction.
