Small vase ID
« on: September 19, 2016, 05:52:07 PM »
Hello

Can anyone help me identify this small vase?  It's signed but I can't read the first part of the etching....it reads ? Glass Co.

Many thanks

Leabob

we would need a clear picture of the signature to be able to help probably.
Although someone might recognise the design.

hi - welcome to the GMB.                  that black looks very close to the surface - can you see if it's a painted on effect, or is it definitely within the glass itself?

Hello

Thanks for the replies.  I've had a close look and I think it's a painted on effect.  I will try and take a picture of the signature and post.

Thanks
Leabob

Looks a bit like silver leaf.

Hello

I can't get a good picture of the signature but I'm fairly sure now it says 'The Handmade Glass Co 1995'.

Thanks

I think this may be a small piece by Adam Aaronson.
