Old paperweight with large inclusion
« on: October 11, 2016, 09:56:35 PM »
Hi everyone, It's been a while! I hope everyone is well.

This paperweight is completely stumping me. I can't even figure out some good keywords to find any similar ones online. I've tried Sulphide, and Inclusion, antique, dump, bubbles etc.

Can anyone point me in any kind of direction for this piece? What would that inclusion in the center be made of? The only similar piece I had once was a Scottish weight that had quartz inside it.

I'm guessing it's about turn of the century in age based on the colour of the glass and the rough pontil.

It measures 3" in diameter and a little taller.
