Topic: Exquisitely cut goblet - around 1750? North-German?

Hi everyone,

old glass isnŽt my field of knowledge really, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I bought this beautiful goblet today, but I need some help regarding age and provenance.
As a working theory... around 1750 and North-German? The coat of arms might be from the
city of Bremen, but...
ThereŽs a crown above, which means it should be the crest of a duchy, and at the time
Bremen was a duchy the crest seems to contain two keys. Perhaps I will have to ask in
a heraldic forum , too. 

It stands 21cm tall, the foot is 11.5cm wide and the cup is 10.5cm wide.

 Hi ,
             Lovely glass and I think you have probably got it correct,all I can really add is that the decoration to the foot is regularly seen on glass from Potsdam.

...  The first supporters appear in the 16th century , two angels holding the shield. From 1568 they are replaced by two lions. In 1617 a helmet appeared on the shield. The helmet was never officially granted, but is still used on the great-arms of the city (see below). The crown appeared first in the late 16th century ...
