picked this one up today  I assume im right in saying its ysart brothers?, sorry for the flash reflection

Wouldn't the 'S' be for Strathearn? Late 60's I believe.

yeah  its listed on a gallery site as 65 to 66 I  looked it up   but the  weight looks Ysart , also found this on strathean gallery and a poster has mentioned at bottom of page  that they don't think the cane is strathearn but used by Salvador ysart , I also believe Kev H has a weight with same cane in reverse and I believe that its thought these canes are pre 56 and may have been used by Salvador etc, I await Kevs response to this post

Yes, the "S" cane is one that was first noted in some Strathearn items. But later, the same cane was also found in some weights that checked out under UV light as being pre-1956 (i.e. not a lead based glass) and therefore very likely to be an "S" for Salvador Ysart.

Bu don't forget, Gary, regular longwave UV light (blacklight) as in most torches and home units won't provide an answer. It needs shortave UV to tell the difference.

yup I know as I have one already that's longwave  as weights  show as smokey green so I shall go look online  to purchase a shortwave one ,
