Golden Lion Magnum weight: Murano? ID = Ferro & Lazzarini
« on: November 12, 2016, 09:20:25 PM »
I am attempting to ID this magnum paperweight that my husband inherited from his grandparents, who had a large selection of vintage Baccarat, Clichy, and St. Louis weights. It does not seem to be in that category, and despite much searching, I have yet to make a positive ID. I have had an excellent hint that it is Murano.

Any further suggestions provided will be greatly appreciated!

Yes - a well known Murano design.

Made by Ferro & Lazzarini from mid 1970s and perhaps still in production?

Your paperweight is Leo - one twelve paperweights featuring birthsigns and, as Kevin says, made by Ferro & Lazarrini on the island of Murano

Alan, Dave, and Kevin:
Many thanks for the positive ID. Very grateful to know the provenance of this weight.
