Set of squat frosted tumblers
« on: November 17, 2016, 09:40:22 PM »
I know it's a long shot but would anyone care to suggest an ID for this 3" high heavy based squat tumbler, please? It's part of a set but as they're identical it seems a bit pointless showing them all. Quite a distinctive stippled frosted design with angular raised detail which, I'm guessing, is Scandinavian or Czech? They were wrapped in 1980s newspaper when I bought them so they're probably not recent.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ben. When I bought them a few weeks back I explored Iittala, Nuutajarvi and Orrefors and, while the former seems the most likely, I couldn't find the exact pattern. A Google search threw up an old eBay photo which looks the same which described them as Iittala but, of course, the listing has long gone so I can't verify whether the seller was simply suggesting it or giving the pattern a firm attribution, unfortunately.
