Hello, OTT, but do you happen to know who made that plate at the top left of your picture, please?

I don't know who made any of the plates, I got those today as well, and was going to ask about them later.

I did wonder if the back two might be American cup plates, and the front two depression glass, but none are marked.

Will take a better photo and ask when I get out of the bath.

It's just that I've got a commemorative plate with the same border.

Barbara & TC - Amazing.   I thought I had seen lettering like that on my my Blackpool Tower teapot stand before, but I couldn't remember where.

Our mystery glassworks now seems to have two product ranges, not just the one!   And just look at the quality.   These are top class products created by an experienced mouldcutter.

Eureka!

Third match on lettering  Lillicrap's Hone by

WOOD BROS, BARNSLEY

It all adds up.   Wood Bros had the distribution network and outlets for '36 and '53 Coronation souvenirs and a range or two of pressed tableware.

I'm sticking with this as close on a certainty until someone proves me wrong.   It's not just the lettering and circumstantial evidence, you get this gut feeling.   Same mild Art Deco design, same quality, same weight, same mouldmaker, same finish.

Phew, it's been a long time coming!

What do you think?

Bernard, did you get a buyer for your teapot stand eventually?

I also have a big Brown Betty, and somehow everytime I make the tea it reminds me of your stand...
Thank you very much!

Lynne - No, the Blackpool Tower teapot stand did not perform as I had hoped.    I might try it again soon - it's a little closer to Christmas, and I now have an attribution, which always helps.

Thanks for your interest.

It certainly does!  I must have missed that.. who has it been attributed to?
