Can anyone id this vase? Czech? ID = Sowerby
« on: February 04, 2017, 09:44:04 AM »
Hi.  Hope someone can help.  Found in Yorkshire i'm struggling to id this vase.  I think it could be Czech but am completely open to being corrected on that.  I've been through my books (Marcus Newhall Sklo Union, Mark Hill Hi Sklo Lo Sklo) but no joy, and scoured the web with no joy.  Hope someone can id.  It measures 14.5 cms tall x 7.5 cms in diameter at the rim and 4.5 cms at the base and weighs about 330 gms.  The base matches Mark Hill's description of Czech pressed glass (a deep rim that tapers in towards the outer edge).  Any help much appreciated.
