according to C.H., although the colours for some of the 'greens' were supplied by Benjamin Richardson, the 'Gay' range was produced, marketed, advertised and sold and under the T/Webb name, and began life in 1933.        Some of them are wonderful pieces of glass, but I think most folk would speak of them as being from Webb. :)           Mine all gone now :'(

I remember reading that Webb looked at from above had a square with rounded corners appearance, whereas Whitefriars is hexagonal.  This Yellow Decanter of mine shows that characteristic Square with rounded corners when viewed through the base.  I has a very small(about 8mms diameter) Webb touch mark.

Hence I would say Fred that it is certainly Webb - and I do like the colour.

nice piece Ross  -  date wise my opinion would be some time in the second half of the 1930s.

Paul I just posted about Webb Coronation from the late 30s.  I would value your thoughts.  Most people attribute it to the George the 6th Coronation in 1937.  However, it is quite uncommon in England, but not here, and I suspect it may have been for Edward the 8th's Coronation.  That did not happen so perhaps Webb shipped it off to the other side of the world.
