Very Heavy Glass Bottle with Stopper I.D?
« on: May 26, 2017, 01:03:28 PM »
Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone out there could help identify this glass bottle?
It weights just over 2KG and around 7.5 inches tall (With Stopper) and about 4 inches wide.

Any info would be gratefully received!

Thanks

Edit: I'm not sure why the pictures have gone sideways.. I can't seem to correct it either!

Formia Vetri d'Arte Glassworks is a possibility.

It looks very like one which I posted about a couple of years ago, except there are different colours and mine doesn't have stopper - I didn't imagine that it was ever intended to have one ???.  Czechoslovakia was suggested and Luigi Enesto Oball but nothing quite fitted.
Here's a photo of my piece and a link to my thread -

Thanks Anne. I've looked that up and there is pieces similar to what I have.

Iain - very similar indeed! The stopper isn't secured in anyway so its quite likely that yours went for a walkabout!
