Selkirk Glass 'Moonstone' PW
« on: July 23, 2017, 07:07:08 PM »
I picked up this lovely paperweight by Selkirk Glass the other day. It is 7 cm in diameter x 5.5 cm high. As you can see this is fully marked on the base. However, I have not been able to definitely attribute the designer of Moonstone. It is not on the Scotland's Glass web site (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/) nor on this collectors site (http://mahasamatman.com/Paperweights/index.html). I have seen one reference tentatively attributing 'Moonstone' to Peter Holmes. Can anyone make a definite attribution, please? Thanks.

Anton

Unfortunately not: the early catalogues (like 1982) don't mention the designer. Consequently Peter Holmes is a very good bet, but I don't have proof/confirmation.
