4.25 inches tall, snapped pontil mark, quite thick around the rim with tool marks and some interior staining, English, Dutch or elsewhere, fair bit of wear to the base.

You might need Patricia for this one Keith, seems a few companies made or sold vases with a similar shape including Richardson and Stuart though some are less round and so more squat. Webb is another contender, it seems this general shape was popular and long lived as it is still found in the Carter bulb catalogue of 1911 (page149, Curious History of the Bulb Vase by Patricia Coccoris).

I think this is the classic Stuart flattened round shape.

no ?  that was in twenty two, after he'd found Tut's bits and bobs, and made a list of 'em all  -  they called it Carter's catalogue
