Topic: Percival Vickers electric lamp shades

Picked up this example of an unregistered Percival Vickers electric light shade. It is listed as moulded pattern 47 in their 1902 Glass Shades catalog. It has 9 sides each ending in a shell / fin. Also known is a pattern 48 which is flared out even more (seen with and without fins), pattern 10 where the flaring out is minor, and pattern 9 where the fins seem to point slightly inwards in a narrow design.

This design is almost the same as their 1895 registration for an electric shade, 254406. You can see an example on the page below

The registered piece is virtually identical except it has only one line of imitation diamond cutting, whereas the unregistered piece has two. I would guess the unregistered piece also dates from circa 1895, early for electric shades!
