please help me identifying this blue vase
« on: September 12, 2017, 08:07:03 PM »
I was lucky to buy online this blue vase.
When I first saw it I thought 'Jelinek!!', but then had second thoughts. Then it arrived, and I can see that this is probably not Jelinek.
When looking at it from the side I get a 'Hlava' feel. But I didn't find any proof for either assumptions. Other names that crossed my mind are Adolf Matura and Antonin Drobnik, but still - couldn't find anything to support this.
The lens cutting are on both the front and back of the piece. The underside is polished and concave, not flat. No mark, signature or label.
It is about 20 cm. high.
The quality of the glass, the cutting and the polishing is absolutely excellent.
Can anyone help with identifying this piece?
Thanks!

Hi Assaf,

I have removed your post from the Country forums as postings in more than one forum should not be made for the same item. The Glass forum is the correct place for ID requests so this thread will remain.

I will however change your photos for the ones you had in the other thread because they are better  than the originals (and the right way up).
