Paperweight Id help please—Chinese ? ID = Indian
« on: October 07, 2017, 12:35:29 PM »
Hi,
It’s 5.5cm ( a bit over 2” )

The peripheral area of the base has quite a bit of wear  — I don’t think the base was ever polished
( I might be wrong ! ), which makes me think it could be Chinese.

Any thoughts ? Thanks for looking.

Scott

I think this may be Indian rather than Chinese

Agreed - a well known Indian design.

Hi,
Indian - I really like it; very clear glass and very colourful.
Of course secretly I was hoping that it was going to be a very very rare Scottish one  ;)

Many thanks to you both for your replies - much appreciated  :)
