I had several, :-[ but decided I shouldn't keep carping on about it or we'll get cafe-d again.

However, I do think the style of the fish should be investigated. They are a bit different to most and really quite complex. The style is really rather distinctive.

I thought that also, I've been searching through various Scandi factories and makers from Stromberg to Kosta but nothing similar  ::) ;D ;D

What they remind me of is decorative oriental fish. Specifically the rather kitsch ones drawn by Disney in the original Fantasia film, being rather seductive during some Tchaikowski.

I think I might be thinking in a more Bohemian direction.
(And it's not just reverting to my youth in my old age, although I'm working on that too.  ;) )

Keith - ignore the fish for a moment - they could have been added later for instance.  Does the vase itself have a base - can we get a photo?  Does it look like a maker you recognise?  Is it rippled?  If so can we get a shot straight down from the top?

I bamle all snileplg eorrrs on the Cpomuter Kyes.  They confuse my fingers !!!

Flat base with large polished pontil mark, the rim is smooth and rounded, no ribs or ripples but it does have 3-4 small marks that are difficult to describe like someone put a hook in the glass while soft and pulled it up, I'll have to take my camera round and get a decent picture. It screams 'Scandi' to me, I'll be back with proper pic's later  ::)
