Hi - really, there's no need to apologise - you should see the list of words used here, inappropriately - it's rather long, and most of us are very guilty at some time or another

Your glasses certainly have some considerable age, compared to modern related items intended for similar use - drinking glasses/tumblers have been an essential part of life everywhere for a long time, and there are recognizable shapes, designs and patterns that allow us to define their approximate age and general area of origin. Although your set are plain in appearance, similar shapes with this heavy chunky form, cutting and lobed/scalloped feet were a common type of glass pattern from central Europe, and were prolific in the C18 and C19 - the better ones were gilded and enamelled and those are worth a lot of shekels. Fashion is a great dictator of how things look - regret though I've no idea for how long this particular design continued - but you're fortunate to have a set - are your glasses a family heirloom of sorts?
Still hopeful that someone with much better knowledge will provide us with a more accurate guide to the age of your glasses.
