Topic: Art Deco period pressed glass vases

I run across these very Art Deco style vases frequently here in Vienna, but was yet unable to identify them; not even found them in Pamela's pressglas-pavillon...

I bought the pink one a while ago, and yesterday found the Uranium green version (a colour I haven't seen before in these, but I have seen them in amber and light blue).
Height appr. 18cm, "hammered" decor panels to the sides. Polished base.

Any help highly appreciated as usual

Nice set all together like that with the colours reminds me of those little ashtray sets, or small square bowls you could get in pressed glass in those colours.
There seem to be some vases listed online in the blue, amber and pink apparently from Feigl & Morawetz (no idea about pressed glass but they seem to be linked to Libochovice) .  I couldn't see a green but the three colours are very similar to yours.
Might be worth exploring a bit further?

Perhaps it's Heinrich Hoffmann that m is thinking of - usually with an intaglio/impressed frosted image on the underside  -  they are v. attractive but haven't seen any in recent times.

As for an attribution re the pieces here, IMHO I'd suggest it's a bit too tenuous an argument to suggest a connection based on colour alone.

It is   But it's a starting point for searching when the shape and pattern are not recognisable.  And colours are not always that similar between makers.

I'd previously seen the 6924 vase on P.55 of the Brockwitz 1936 catalogue on glas-musterbuch but wasn't sure if the stippled finish was the same. If you scroll down, this site has photos of it and the stippling looks the same and the general appearance looks similar. I can't find your vases in any of the catalogues though.

Unfortunately I think the colours won't help with identification -- seem to me the popular colours for pressed glass from the 1920s-50s used by many glassworks.

@NevB: well spotted, the Brockwitz vase does have a similar hammered panel. I guess this isn't enough evidence to attribute my vases... I do see Brockwitz pieces here, though (and have a small collection of Carnival from them).

For pressed glass I come across locally, I usually suspect (in this order) a Bohemian / Austrian / German / Yugoslavian origin.

Yes that's true of the colours.  Was just a thought
  Perhaps the foot design might eventually help?  It's quite brutalist in design, different to most other pressed glass vases of that era that I could see online.

I wonder if these vases might be the type that, turned upside down, slot into the underside of a bowl to create a larger centrepiece? Th wee lugs on the base rime might help locate and hold such a bowl in place...  just a thought.

Yes, the shape of the foot is quite special, reminds of a machine part -- I can see why you think that it could fit into another piece.
But I still guess they are simply vases...
