Large spiral threaded posy bowl, uranium glass
« on: April 08, 2018, 10:14:24 PM »
At a little under 12" diameter, this seems quite a bit larger than the average flying saucer shaped posy holder that I've seen. Spiral thread to the underside of the curved brim, polished pontil scar, plenty of wear to the underside. Produced in a pale amber glass that glows strongly under a u.v. light. Any suggestions as to the factory, please?

Webb and other factories produced bowls of this shape but with the threading I'd say it's a good chance this may be Stevens & Williams.  ;D

"S&W was my first thought." I wasn't reading that too carefully and thought it said "S&M was my first thought".

Anyway, moving swiftly on, thanks both for replying.

I had to check I'd typed correctly!
Driving through Ireland once, I couldn't understand why garages were selling mortgages. (motorgas  ::) )
