VLS vase vert de chine (green) cataloque 1908
Yen:
Dear experts, your assistance will be highly appreciated.
A couple of days ago I have got a beautiful antique VSL green crystal vase.
After preliminary internet investigation I have discovered that the same vase has been already sold, and in its description mentioned that the model from VSL crystal catalogue 1908. But I would like to know it definitely.
Does anybody can help me on the matter?
Anne:
Hello Yen and welcome to the board. There is a copy of the 1908 catalogue on eBay currently, which has scans of several pages, one of which appears to show your vase. See what you think: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cristalleries-du-Val-Saint-Lambert-1904-1908-catalog-cut-engraved-glass-Belgium-/221221033082
Yen:
Anne, thank you very much for your prompt reaction!
This scan I have seen before. The form of vase is the same but cutting ornament is different. In the description of the sold vase the number 2948/17 is mentioned. I suppose that on the next page of VSL catalogue 1908 this model is indicated. Unfortunately I can not find them in the libruary. :(
Nevertheless, I appreciate your kind assistance.
Best regards, Yen

Dag Yen en welkom,
The number you mentioned is not the number of this model, but the less flaired version (see image of the vase with the same pattern).
Your vase with this pattern does not show in the reprint of the 1908 catalogue and not on the next page either ;), but the model is called Rivoli, the model number is 3860/17 and the pattern is registered as 3247/17. It was a very popular pattern, also called in French 'Taille Riche' and can be found on all sorts of items, from vases and bowls to stemware and decanters...
Perhaps you came across it on my page, that has now been rectified.
