VLS vase vert de chine (green) cataloque 1908
Anne Tique:
No problem. :)
Unfortunately this style is not the most popular at the moment, and the 'Taille Riche' pieces are difficult to sell, but personally I prefer this period. The cutting is more precise, the glass of better quality and in this colour always very effective.
Having said that, if you're not thinking about selling, it might be the right time to get another vase in the same colour, as it is, in my opinion, always more effective to have a pair, on a mantle (schouw) or sideboard.
There are a few on Ebay at the moment and Tweedehands.be and as they're not selling, you could discuss the price a bit.
Yen:
Very useful information, thanks.
I've got in touch with VSL for the first time in my life. That is why the opinion of more experienced people is of great value.
Because I'm the beginner in this field, I'm interested to know about average price range. All listings being placed on above said sites give me a price indication round 250 euro. I'm surprised: is the average price on the item so high?
Anne Tique:
It depends, but you are showing a different model (vase Vénitienne) now which is much larger.
How tall is your vase?
[Mod: image showing the "different model" has been removed by Yen as it contravened Board Policy on use of 3rd party images.]
Yen:
Just made a measurement of my vase: 30.5 cm high and 10 cm max width on the top.
Anne Tique:
Re the price you mentioned, you shouldn't pay more then half of that. Be careful though, the image you've just removed is a different model with the same pattern. Send me a PM if you're not sure and I'll keep an eye out for you as well, if I come across anything.
