Lynne - how could I possibly have been offended?  :shock: It certainly would have been nice to have had photos of the bases, but my friend (actually she's a close colleague of my son) only had those photos of the pieces. They are family heirlooms - passed from mother to daughter over three generations.

Catisfaction - I agree with you on the likelihood of Kralik for the vase. The foot is so distinctive, isn't it? Many thanks.

And Loetz seems to be the favourite for the bowl.

The consensus appears to be Bohemian Art Glass - very possibly Loetz bowl and Kralik vase.
