Hello to all,
I'm still getting stumped by some of the glass my mother has tucked away. i found another huge piece today stuck in the garage, with about 20 years of dirt on, I have took it home and washed it all up and it looks lovely now. How it has ever survived at the back of the garage is beyond me, but it has.

Does anyone know it's original purpose, or where it may come from ,or its age as it is quite a big piece of glass.

It measures around 19 inches in height, with a circumference at the widest of around 30 inches. and it weighs a hefty 10 pounds.

The pontil has been ground down, and as yet i can't seem to see any makers mark. Any information at all would be great, my mother knows nothing of it, and didn't even know it was in the garage.

Best wishes,
Gary.
