Topic: crimp rose weight by Alan Baillie

Does anyone know who Alan Baillie is, where he works or worked?
This yellow crimp rose sits on a frosty white cushion and has 6-6-1 faceting through a semi translucent speckled blue overlay.
It is script signed ''Jurvache Alan Baillie'' on the concave, polished base, pics below.
I purchased it on ebay from a UK seller several months ago.
Any help with information re. this artist is greatly appreciated

Hi Mark,
           Frank brought this to my attention,I don't know how I managed to miss it ,so my apologies.Alan was one of the glassmakers at Caithness afew years ago now.He was not a designer and certainly we didn't usually get the makers to sign the bases.I would suspect that this could have been a Scottish Glass Society piece.At this time Caithness hosted the annual exhibition every year and as a result most of our makers took part and submitted at least one piece.I will look into his actual years of work tomorrow for you and post again.

The crimp used to make the rose looks like Caithness' 16 petal crimp.
I have another crimp rose made with the same 16 petal crimp, signed by Scot Miller, and the dealer who sold it to me said that it was made for just such an exhibition as you describe and hence, Scot was allowed to sign it individually sans the usual Caithness signature.
I don't have a picture of it at this time.
