Topic: Commemorative Victoria and Albert Handled glass

Hi, would anyone please advise me if they can identify these two which maybe part of a larger set. With different figures and slightly different sizes.One has a “W” or “M” trade mark the other has none.
The pressed glass collectors pamphlet no.1 on Commemorative glass mentions these as possible Greener however they may never has seen one with a trademark. My fathers has given me these as a test for you. Probably manufactured around 1860 ish
Grateful for any replies.

So far I’ve not come across anything similar on the internet.

Hi,

Is the portrait 'Chinese' Gordon, it's hard to tell from that angle? If it is, Thomas Kidd are thought to have manufactured the glass ink wells, hope this helps.

For some reason sometime my pictures come out landscape instead of portrait, I don't know why as it's hit or miss. They are loaded up by my phone. If you click on them they should straighten up.
Sorry it's a bit frustrating. I'll go and see if I can find out what the other figures might be.

Apologies Penelope the series of mugs may actually be Queen Victoria's children or just her sons and wives it's not certain which?
The main Pressed glass dealer at the National glass fair thinks they could well be Greener because of the flora pattern. He's never seen them before so quite rare. He also remarked the trademark could be a red herring....

The mark is letter "E" of Ehrenfeld Cologne, I believe.
I've got several of these, some are marked, some not. We do need Ivo's expertise in this case, he knows these glasses being of Dutch origin as well.

Oooh. Thanks Pamela that’s an interesting surprise, I shall investigate further. Two faces below are a lady with Tiara and a young man with medals another one which we don’t have is a bearded man.

While he's absent … I'm not pretending I know what I'm talking about but it didn't take much to find … mustard pots with the portrait of queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.

Thanks Anne tique, I shall explain to my father that he’s been investigating the wrong royal family for the last 20 years.    .  They Will be going back in my mothers Victorian Commemorative glass cabinet. Thanks everyone
