Base signature on Art Glass Scent bottle
« on: March 04, 2019, 04:49:30 PM »
Hi Folks,
I wonder if someone can assist me in deciphering the limited signature belongs to. The sig is from the underboss of an Art Glass scent bottle.
The perfume bottle is owned by a friend and unfortunately I have only this photo to assist me/us. I can clearly see the M first letter but the rest of the name is unclear and brief. There is a 1/1 figure or similar to the top of the base which may suggest that it is a one off??
Thank You,
Bryn

Thanks again,
Bryn

If you turn the mark up the other way......does it look like IOW?  I can't get the iPad to stop turning the screen!

that's a really funky and beautifully designed bottle with what looks like a beautifully made folded foot on it.
Is the foot folded?

I gave up on this one because the photographs are not good enough to see the signature.  It needs to be larger please.

I don't think it's a folded foot, it's just the way the photo makes the flat bit of the base look.
I can't see the stopper well enough to work out if it might be Alistair Malcolm. His signature tends to be fairly legible and would be on top of the foot, not under it.
But apart from the stopper, it doesn't really look like his work. Too lightweight.  ::)
