Topic: Need help to identify this paperweight

Hello Everyone,
I found this paper weight in Illinois
It has a "L" signature on the center cane. Any suggestion of the name and age? Thanks for your input

Looks like a Perthshire weight to me, if so the letter in the centre would have been P, perhaps it was distorted in the making. Similar in design to the Ltd edition faceted millefiori weights PP32 and PP77 - examples of both on this page:

Hi and welcome to the board,

You don't state the size but I assume it is 2 inches or less, in which case it is a Perthshire Paperweights' design PP32. It is indeed an L cane in the centre, it is one of a couple of designs in which Perthshire included a letter to indicate the year of manufacture. The PP32 started in 1978 with J and ended in 1986 with R, making yours a 1980 weight.

Thank you very much Nick. You definitely answered my question. As you said the diameter is about 2 inches. What is the typical market value for my paperweight?
I did a search online and couldn't find too much appraisal information.
