but it's clearly not nearly heavy enough! Actually it's made of quite thin glass with a flamed edge.
Does anybody recognise it?

It's definitely sklo of some sort, Jay. ;)
I've seen this before.
It might be Polish. I'll have a dig around and see if I can find more.

eta. A bit of digging later
I may have photos on a corrupted/dead hard drive that somebody has recovered for me but i don't have at the moment. I can't find this actual vase in my Wroclaw museum book, but I'm still fairly sure I saw this vase in the same cabinet, or close to, Huty Szklane Niemen pieces.

Another maker might be Hortensja.
I'm pretty sure it's Polish, Jay. But my memory is not terribly reliable and we still don't know enough about all the wonderful Polish glass that is "out there".

I've seen a couple described as being produced in Empoli. - That said I haven't seen a labelled one to date.

Might be worth further exploration!
