As I understand it "Hause" is simply the dative singular of (das) "Haus" the modern German word which translates into the English "house" or "home". Adding an "e" to make dative singulars is probably uncommon - I'm not an expert - but "Hause" is widely used today in situations where a preposition is followed by the dative case. So, for example, "Ich bleibe zu Hause" (I'm staying at home), "Ich gehe nach Hause" (I'm going home) ....
