Green leaf design bowl.
« on: July 02, 2019, 07:22:11 PM »
Hello all, any thought's on this would be welcome. I'm not sure but it looks like Graal. Reaaly well made glass with a lot of base wear although it is heavy.

 It's signed W M B.

12cm in height with a rim width of just over 18cm.

Regards Chris.

:) Hazarding a guess here - Ed and Margaret Burke?
They did do Graal-y green things. I have a bowl, which was done in two layers, then cut to make a pattern before reheating to soften it all. It was not further cased.
It is marked what looks like M3, but I believe to be MB. I did buy it from them, directly.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

I sent them a message via Facebook
They got back to me straight away and it's not one of theirs. Some great glass on their website though.

The leaf design looks in the middle of the glass.

It was a bit of a long shot.  :-[
The way they sign things can be confusing, monograms can be made with their initials, they work as individuals as well as together, and they do make some rather interesting and exciting work.
My piece is just a "standard range" Scrafitto bowl, in lime and jade. I liked that it looked like uranium glass under uv in bits.
