Feathered pink tumblers
« on: July 26, 2019, 04:41:34 AM »
Thought these might be Czech but now i'm not so sure. 5 inches high, polished rim. I think it's polished on the base too. I did have a chance of buying a jug in the same pattern, but it was a different colour (amber i think), and they wanted £7 for it.

Any ideas?

Maybe this will help then. The shop i bought them from recently put some more on the shelf (i have no idea why they got me to buy 3 and then stuck 6 more out!). Well, a few of these had round gold foil stickers on, the label reading "Foreign". So, errr, from memory, that would mean, Italy, Japan, Germany are likely suspects. The style more suits Japan or Empoli i think, but could be wrong. Date wise would be after WW2 probably.
