Hi Everyone,

New to this site as I stumbled across it. I've picked up this item shown in the photos. It's incredible in person and photos don't do justice.

I noticed today that if I look at the item on a specific angle in between the base and the fish that I can see a small mark (a paint mark) upon closer look it is actually multiple colors appearing as a little dot unless looked at closely. I noticed the colors today of the Italian flag so I'm rather excited thinking it's actually genuine as everything else seems to check up.

It has behind the dot something in the glass but I can't read it. I see a few numbers or the letters potentially of "J & R" but I can't really tell or confirm even with a magnifying glass I'm struggling because mine isn't any good.

Item has plenty of air bubbles and tell signs that it's genuine but I still can't confirm it is of course personally as I know nothing more than my google searching skills.

I have in the photos the mark so you all can see as well. I have more photos if I can post more if any ones requesting more but

I would love to know who created this item if anyone knows at all.

Weight: 1.063 KG
Size: 29.8 CM HEIGHT
Size: 8.8CM BASE WIDTH

Thank you :)

I doubt that is a makers mark and the colours of the Italian flag are green/white/red - no blue.

It looks fairly modern, it could be from Murano but there is also a fair chance it was made in China.

Got it appraised. It's genuine murano glass. Selling it at my local antique dealership for a $275 AUD price and he takes 25 percent commission.

Very similar in TK Maxx last time I was there, made in China.

The colours are very contemporary Chinese, and the tool marks where the pulls have been made are squint, not what I'd expect to see on genuine Murano, but I do expect on Chinese.
The Chinese work is improving, all the time, and there is a lot of it around.
