Who is this signature on this Praze an Beeble Scent Bottle
« on: September 18, 2019, 06:31:46 PM »
I would welcome help in identifying this signature on the base of this small Scent Bottle which I believe to be from maker  Praze an Beeble?  Most examples of this Glass Works that I have seen are attributed to Norman Stuart Clark and his signature unlike this one  is always easy to read. It looks as though it was made in 1987.
It would be great if I could find out who the maker is.

The signature appears to read M. Hardwicke, which is unfortunate in a glass search as there is a famous Stuart wineglass design by that name.  ::)

The design of the bottle looks consistent with work from Siddy Langely's studio, and I'm sure N. S-C was involved at some point.
There are other glassmakers who trained with Siddy, but Julia Donnelly is the only name I know.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Praze an Beeble is a little village near Camborne, Cornwall.  Interestingly enough, N.S.C's first studio before moving to St.Erth (near St.Ives) was in Praze an Beeble. Found this https://cornwallartists.org/cornwall-artists/norman-stuart-clarke .
