I've only just seen this. It looks like a Jobling set as there is a very similar catalogue picture of their 12500 set on the glass trinket sets site. The 2800 also fits in with their numbering system.

I'm pretty certain these aren't Jobling, Nev.  The British American Glass Co. was an importer of glassware, but there may be a Jobling connection in that both firms had London offices at the same address, although possibly not at the same time... https://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,64517.msg361547.html#msg361547

Thanks Anne, I can't find much online about British American Glass but from your link it seems they acted as promoters for various British companies in America. Perhaps they used the original company catalogues and added their own name.

The Advert shown above is worded "ASSEMBLED BY". I wonder how much "assembling" went on. Perhaps they offered part sets as well as full sets?

I saw that too Kevin. I wonder if they mixed and matched pieces from different suppliers to form sets to promote? That might explain why we see certain odd combinations?

I think these could be Cambridge Glass USA pieces, there is an clear elongated octagonal tray in the opening post and further clear pieces shown in reply #10 of this topic:

https://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,36501.0.html

I have also seen photos of all the pieces in the advert but with the rectangular tray in blue milk glass plus a tumbler and the elongated oval lidded dish (razor holder?)

May or may not be the lone candlestick shown in Mystery Set #33

Hi Jayne, I'd say it's not a match as the candlestick (it's one of mine) is very plain and doesn't have the ridges top and bottom of the stem, nor does it have what appears (in the advert) to be panels on the top of the foot.   :'(
